Aberdeen Arts Awards 2011, Nominations wanted

Residents in Aberdeen are invited to nominate an individual or group that meet the following criteria:

a volunteer group, community group or individual who have consistently worked in the arts in the city;
an individual who has proved inspirational to others, in a professional capacity, or who has acted as an arts ‘ambassador’ internationally or nationally for Aberdeen;
an organisation who has a track record of providing a major contribution to the cultural life of the city;
an individual or group who shows outstanding commitment to bringing the arts to as wide an audience as possible;
an individual or organisation committed to producing high quality creative work in Aberdeen;
a lifetime achievement in the arts for an individual or organisation.
Nominations are invited of individuals or organisations with a supporting statement, explaining the reasons for nomination, on no more than 1 side of A4 and emailed to vibrantaberdeen@aberdeencity.gov.uk Nominations close on Friday 27 May 2011. Continue reading

Graduate Opportunity 2011

The Arts Development Team in partnership with Gray’s School of Art are offering a new graduate or MA student an internship during 2011.

Arts Development is part of Aberdeen City Council’s Education, Culture and Sport service and is led by professional arts practitioners.

We work in partnership to create sustainable and inclusive learning opportunities encouraging citizens to realise their potential and involvement in the arts through projects, workshops, training and exhibitions.
