Life drawing class, held at Ruthrieston Community Centre, run by Arts Development.

Mondays 23 April- 25 June, 6.30 – 8.30pm
Residents price £100, non residents price £110

Come along to this informative class and learn how to draw the human body. Using a posed model each week you will be taught the basics of anatomical drawing as well as learning how to capture form, tone and shape of the figure using a variety of material. The class is held in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere, led by a knowledgeable tutor.

Next Programme update

Just a short post for all our members and those that have been enquiring about the next Arts Development Programme.

It is just about to go to the printers and should be out by the start of September.

Next Programme in August

We have had several calls and emails asking when our next programme is coming out and we can say at the moment it is set to go to the printers in August with a digital download version to follow soon after. In the meantime any cultural activities or learning opportunities we have coming up in the next two months will be advertised through this site so keep your eyes posted!

Family Art Workshop ‘Make a Mini Me’.
Saturday 7 May,
Book on one of the four sessions,
Mornings 10.30 – 11.30 or 11.45 – 12:45 
Afternoons 1.15 – 2.15 or 2.30 – 3.30pm
Join in with this fun, family friendly activity to create and decorate your own Mini Munny figure, personalised with different accessories and paints.
Workshop suitable for children ages 6 years and over must be accompanied by an adult. Continue reading

Highlights From Our New Programme

A couple of upcoming workshops we would like to highlight –

Tiny Titans at The Gordon Highlanders Museum

Looking for something to do with the little ones this summer? Parents and children are invited to come along to these special taster sessions aimed at the under 5’s. Children will be encouraged to be playful and use their imaginations. During this class our artist will guide you and your child through various creative processes to make fabulous artworks together. This class will be held in a safe and friendly environment. Please note that adults must stay with children at all times.

Fridays, 10 and 24 June
11.00am -12.00noon
£25 for 2 sessions (price for one adult and one child)

Drawing and Painting Techniques Taster sessions at Dyce

Wednesdays, 4 – 25 May
10am – 12noon
£55 for 4 sessions (ILA approved)
Join these taster sessions where you will have the chance to explore a different drawing and painting technique each week. This class is ideal for beginners, as full guidance will be given and is equally suitable for those who want to add some exciting new techniques to their repertoire. Techniques will include charcoal lift and pen and ink. No experience necessary.
