Photo journeys of The Green wanted

As part of the Lively Cities (LICI) project, Aberdeen City Council is looking for people’s views on the city centre area known as The Green.

 The LICI Project is a European partnership which explores alternative ways of reclaiming public space for public use.

Aberdeen is one of nine cities involved in the project which has been successful in receiving funding through the Interreg IVB North West Europe programme.

 To support the development of its “Public Art Aberdeen” initiative, the City Council’s focus is to assess the role public art can play in developing areas of the city.

‘Artist in the Green’ – Amy Marletta

We are pleased to announce we have now appointed the Art Engagement project’s ‘Artist in the Green’, Amy Marletta, a visual artist based in Glasgow. Her work is multi disciplinary involving video, performance, music and collage. She has exhibited at both home and abroad, including Gang Hut, Changing Room, The Collective Gallery and The Generator Project. Continue reading
