Arts Development offer a variety of professional development opportunities for creative practitioners including; Internships, volunteer experience,  network nights, artist’s workshops, training, paid employment and exhibition opportunities.

Arts Development Student Internship 2010.  Arts Development  in partnership with Gray’s School of Art offered a new graduate or MA student an internship for  autumn 2010. This internship offers not only first hand experience of working with the city’s leading participatory visual arts organisation but also the opportunity to showcase their work through a solo exhibition with the ‘Art at The Lemon Tree’ programme.

Our ‘Artist Led Weekends’ have included workshops in everything from jewellery to robotics as well as practical skills such as picture framing. For more career development focused opportunities we have worked in partnership with organisations such as Creative Culture Scotland and Cultural Enterprise Office to offer artist network nights, professional development planning and business training.

‘Art at the Lemon Tree’ offers opportunities for local artists to create and exhibit new work and encourages them to continue with their professional practice.  Since the first show Art at the Lemon Tree has hosted a diverse range of artists as well as highlighting Arts Development projects, offering a wide spectrum of art work to pursue and purchase. Art at The Lemon Tree is a partnership project with Arts Development and Aberdeen Performing Arts.

  1. Hello Heloise,

We have a lot of artists and volunteers on our books at the moment but we are always on the look out for new talent to enrich the team and what we offer. Can I suggest you send your CV and a cover letter to Arts Development, WhiteSpace, 60 Frederick Street, Aberdeen, AB24 5HQ.

    Regards

    Mark
