Freelance SMP Project Co-ordinator

For programme of youth music development
Fee around £9 500 over 21 months plus agreed expenses.
Aberdeen International Youth Festival has been awarded the tender to manage an 18 month programme of youth music development by the Aberdeen City & Aberdeenshire Strategic Music Partnership funded by Creative Scotland Youth Music Initiative. 

We are now recruiting a project co-ordinator to support the Project Manager with the delivery of the different programme strands. We are looking for someone with an interest and experience in music by and for young people. Applicants can be from any background but must be able to support projects across a wide range of music genres and for a wide range of ages. The programme has a number of development priorities across the 0 – 25 age range and these include work in early years, training across all sectors, rock & pop, access to performance opportunities and information.

The role will require a range of duties including some administration, facilitating meetings, event support and research. The successful candidate will be based at the AIYF office but will also be expected to travel across the region when required. The role requires on average 4.5 days a month but this can be delivered flexibly as agreed and will also require some evening work.
