InspirED Filmmaker Opportunity

Job Title: Creative Practitioner / Filmmaker
  Employer: InspirEd Workshops
  Location: Aberdeen
  Dates: 19, 21 and 22 October
  Pay: £150 per day


  Job Description:
 Inspirational artist required to run a 3 day workshop encouraging children aged between 8-12 to make their own documentary films. Workshops will consist of 10 children lead by a supervisor, and will make a film no longer than 10 minutes in duration over the October half  term week (2010). The workshop will include preparing a script,  technical training, filming and final editing of the film.
 In between  workshop days each child will be leant a flip camera to take away with  them shoot a film by themselves over 2 days. The workshop will be free and participants will be selected on the basis of a 100 word description of the film they would like to make.

 Requirements 
   Public Liability Insurance (photocopy).
  Two referees including most recent employer
  Ability to communicate well with staff and pupils
  Teaching experience
  Knowledge of iMovie

Job Description: Assistant Workshop Leader

  Job Description:
 We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable young person who is interested in film, photography and animation.  You will be required to  assist our lead artists in delivering workshops to schoolchildren aged 8-12. Specific  duties include setting up and packing away equipment and helping  students with technical issues. 

 We’re especially interested in people with an interest in teaching who live in the Aberdeen area. Payment is up to £50 per day depending on experience. The successful applicant will be Disclosure Scotland checked.
Having a car is an advantage.
