The Port project Research Groups Update.

The Port Project is a collaborative project between Arts Development,  Aberdeen International Youth Festival and Theatre Modo. It will culminate in all involved groups taking part in The Aberdeen International Youth Festival 40th Anniversary Celebrations Parade on the 4th August 2012.

The project will offer new arts experiences to young people and their communities.

Weird and Wonderful Wire Sculpture at The Belmont Cinema Monday 7th May

At this fun workshop you will learn the basics of working with wire, coiling, twisting and forming to create a creature of your own design. 

 

Jubille Jewellery at Provost Skenes House Monday 4th June

 

Taking inspiration from royal jewellery you will explore the basics of jewellery making to create your own customised pieces such as corsages, cuffs and beaded necklaces.

Life drawing class, held at Ruthrieston Community Centre, run by Arts Development.

Mondays 23 April- 25 June, 6.30 – 8.30pm
Residents price £100, non residents price £110

Come along to this informative class and learn how to draw the human body. Using a posed model each week you will be taught the basics of anatomical drawing as well as learning how to capture form, tone and shape of the figure using a variety of material. The class is held in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere, led by a knowledgeable tutor.

Arts CLub Looking for new members!

These collaborative film portraits of the city – developed by project participants and
directed by video-artist Adam Proctor – present images of a changing city
reflected in the faces of its inhabitants.

Temporary Art School, exciting new project taking place in Aberdeen

Temporary Art School is a one month live project happening throughout the city of Aberdeen in March 2012. A group of people living and working in both Aberdeen and Glasgow have come together to put on classes and workshops which experiment with what an art school can be and continue in a long tradition of self-organised education.The school is free and no previous experience of art education or training is required.
